Efficient delivery of our high quality precast concrete products
Home » Delivery
Ri-Industries delivers precast concrete tanks and products across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia using our fleet of purpose-built vehicles, including crane trucks.
We understand that delivery often needs to fit within plumbing, building and project schedules. Pre-planning your delivery and confirming site access in advance will help us coordinate delivery and placement safely and efficiently.
Planning your delivery
Our trucks are approximately 10 metres long and 2.5 metres wide, so suitable access and a prepared site are essential.
Before delivery, please check:
- The truck can reverse up to the prepared excavation or unloading area
- The unloading site is clear, level, firm and accessible
- There is at least 4.7 metres clearance beneath trees and overhead power lines for the truck to pass
- There is a minimum height clearance of 8 metres for unloading
- There is at least 4 metres clearance between gate posts
- Underground drains, cables and other services have been identified
- The excavation and base have been prepared in accordance with the requirements for your product
- The site is dry and stable enough for truck access
- Ri-Industries has been advised if site conditions have changed, particularly following heavy rain
All delivery access and unloading is subject to driver discretion. Ri-Industries will not lift tanks over houses, sheds or other property of value, or under low power lines.

Important: Underground tanks
Ri-Industries advises that all underground tanks are to be filled at least 50–70% with water in all chambers to stop flotation.
Not sure if we can access your site?
If you have any concerns about access or tank placement, talk to Ri-Industries before delivery.
We offer a free on-site visit to assess tank location and delivery access, where required.
Delivery and placement
Where site conditions and access allow, Ri-Industries can deliver and place concrete tanks directly into the prepared excavation using our crane trucks.
Product-specific site preparation requirements are available on the relevant Installation pages for our various products.
Swiftlift lifting system
The Swiftlift concrete lifting system provides a safe and efficient method of lifting and handling precast concrete products.
Swiftlift anchors are incorporated as standard into many Ri-Industries products. Appropriate lifting clutches are available from Ri-Industries in 1.3, 2.5, 5.0 and 10 tonne capacities.
Only suitable approved lifting equipment should be used when lifting Ri-Industries tanks and precast products.
Lifting septic tanks
The use of unapproved lifting equipment may damage or crack tanks. The diagram below shows the correct method for lifting Ri-Industries 1,620–5,000 litre horizontal cylindrical septic tanks.
Chain of Responsibility
Ri-Industries takes its obligations under Chain of Responsibility requirements seriously and takes reasonable steps to support compliance with road transport safety laws.
These responsibilities also apply where third-party transport providers collect products from our premises. Transport providers may be required to demonstrate compliance or provide details of the appropriate person within their business responsible for compliance.
This helps ensure that Ri-Industries, our transport providers, customers and other parties involved in the transport process meet their respective Chain of Responsibility obligations.
